In July 2022, during President Biden’s visit to the region, Women Wage Peace and Women of the Sun came together in a powerful demonstration of unity and determination. Hundreds of Israeli and Palestinian women gathered in Jerusalem, marching side by side to the iconic Lions Fountain, sending a resounding message to the U.S. President and to Israeli and Palestinian leaders: Peace must be at the forefront of diplomatic efforts.
This event underscored our shared commitment to a political agreement that ensures a just and lasting resolution to the conflict. As women, we brought our collective voices to the heart of Jerusalem, emphasizing that peace is not just a political aspiration but a moral imperative.
