To share the powerful message of the Mothers’ Call with the Israeli public, we organized seven large-scale gatherings across Israel. These events drew hundreds of participants from diverse backgrounds, eager to learn about the joint efforts of Women of the Sun and Women Wage Peace.
At each event, Reem Hajajreh, co-founder of Women of the Sun, shared her personal story, the vision behind her movement, and the daily challenges faced by Palestinian women advocating for peace and reconciliation. The audience listened intently, moved by her courage and unwavering commitment to fostering understanding and coexistence.
The energy in the room was palpable. At the end of each event—and often during her speech—the audience rose to their feet, applauding with emotion and admiration. The events were filled to capacity, reflecting a profound thirst to hear about our shared mission and the impactful collaboration between our movements.
These gatherings were part of the outreach leading up to the October 4, 2023, event, designed to raise awareness, inspire hope, and encourage participation in our larger efforts. They successfully reached new audiences, sparking meaningful conversations and strengthening public support for our shared vision of peace.
