In early 2022, the Palestinian movement Women of the Sun and the Israeli movement Women Wage Peace signed a groundbreaking Partnership Pact – the first formal declaration of our commitment to work together to end the long and bloody conflict between our peoples.
This pact was not just a document. It was a public statement that, after more than a century in which this conflict was managed mostly by men, Israeli and Palestinian women say: Enough. Together, with determination, persistence, and mutual respect, we committed to encouraging our leaders to return to the negotiating table and reach a political agreement that will ensure freedom, peace, and security for both peoples – for ourselves, our children, and generations to come.
Our partnership is rooted in the joint vision of The Mothers’ Call, created together after deep reflection. While each movement maintains its independence, our shared platform enables us to bridge divides, engage our communities, and hold powerful joint actions. We pledged to speak in a connecting and respectful language, grounded in the belief that women’s leadership is essential to securing a just and lasting peace.
Since signing the pact, we have organized numerous events and initiatives to strengthen the bonds between us and to call on both peoples – and the world – to join our efforts. We know that every voice matters, and every woman who stands with us brings more strength and hope.
This pact is our promise: to remain steadfast, to work together through challenges, and to keep hope alive – until peace becomes the reality we all deserve.
